It started in 2008 & still continues

When members in your running group, who are older than you realize that you are running for the last 14+ yrs give that look with special respect.

It feels like being a veteran running marathon & it’s a different feeling.

How is it done?

By motivating yourself to get up and run-on pleasant Sunday morning and overcome procrastination.
By managing social life on weekends and no late-night activities.
A lot of planning and preparation along with rest and proper guidance.
All this for 14+ years made me a successful Marathon Runner, giving me a sense of achievement.

From having 9 tablets of steroids a day to zero now and running a full marathon every year, It’s a great journey in itself. The medicines went on for 4.5 yrs that includes 1.5 yrs of allopathy followed by 3 yrs of homeopathy even while running was on.

I was fed up with living my life at a mercy of tablets it was then that I decided I don’t want to continue this rest of my life. Running was the easiest activity that could have been picked.

You need a pair of shoes and a place to run.

So, I signed up for Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2008 to run a half marathon of 21 km. Then I moved to Delhi and signed…
